"I'm quite pleased with this collection. I own presets from several other companies and these are my new favorites! Well done." - John R.

New to Lightroom Mobile: Device Tab, Edit Replay, and More!

This week Adobe released some major updates to the Lightroom Mobile app, for those of you who edit on the go! This new release features a brand new organizational system that allows you to edit directly from your phone gallery and includes some fun new features for sharing your edits!

The New Library Design

The new design for navigating images on Lightroom Mobile features 3 icons on the bottom of the screen labeled "Gallery (Android)/Device (iPhone)", "Lightroom" and "Discover". This new method of organization is not only simple and clean, but intuitive for new users!

The new Gallery/Device option allows you to quickly edit directly from your phone/camera roll without importing into Lightroom. Once edited, the image pops on over to the Lightroom Cloud, without that pesky import step, and also appears with a little Lightroom icon with an Edit symbol in your Gallery/Device tab!

The Library tab is now simply "Lightroom". To view your albums, select the drop-down at the top-left corner of this tab!

On Android, the new "Lightroom" tab on the bottom will further sort your library files into new "My Edits" and "Unedited" folders, defaulting to "My Edits" whenever you launch the app:

History Update

Not sure about a change, want to scrap your whole edit, or want to quickly revert to another version for your image? History has been condensed into a single menu up-top in edit mode including undo, redo, versions, and reset

Export Optimization

Especially nifty, the Export menu has been simplified!

And you can now even "Save a Copy to Device" directly from the Edit menu to quickly export a full sized edit as you go!

The option can will appear at the top of the Edit Options Menu "..." for Android:

And at the top of the Edit Options Menu "..." (with the menu popping up from the bottom) for iOS:

Create Edit Replay

One of the coolest new features? Under your Share/Export options, you can also now create an "Edit Replay" to save and share a video of your editing process! This is a fun way to share your process with others without revealing all your secrets (like the presets, or exact settings you used)!

The edit replay is a beautiful auto-generated .mp4 of your editing process. The finished video displays a before & after of your edit, the adjustments you made categorically (ex: "Tune Lighting, Adjust Colors, Erase, Make Selective Edits, etc.) and finishes with the Adobe Lightroom logo!

To test this new feature, we took this stunning image by Gifty Dzenyo Photography into Lightroom Mobile on Android and applied Luxe Portraits 2.0 Presets & AI Tools + one minor spot removal! This is the Edit Replay Lightroom Mobile created for the edit:
